Diploma

Dental Assistant Program Features

The Dental Assistant Diploma program is designed to prepare you with the skills needed for treatment room care, medical emergencies, and other necessary dental functions.

This program will also help you prepare for the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) exam sponsored by the American Medical Technologists, and the State Board Radiologic Certification exam.

 Dental Assistant Duties

As dentists focus on more involved procedures, more dental assistants are expected to be hired to perform routine duties. This makes pursuing a career in dental assisting a strong choice. In fact, the U.S. Department of Labor predicts dental assisting will be one of the fastest-growing occupations throughout the year 2014.*

Your education as a dental assistant at Kaplan College can prepare you to assist with a variety of duties including:

  • Infection control and sterilization
  • Dental x-rays
  • Teeth impressions
  • Oral evacuation

 Potential Career Opportunities

By earning a diploma from our dental assistant program, you could be prepared to seek entry-level employment as a dental assistant in a dental office, clinic, or lab environment, with skills needed for advancement in the dental field.
